Definition
|
A
predator is an organism that attacks or feeds on a number of prey
by devouring them or sucking out their body fluids. The spider Pardosa eats
hopper nymphs and adults; the insect Cyrtorhinus sucks the fluid
out of the eggs and young nymphs of hoppers.

||||||
Difference between parasitoids and predators
|
Unlike parasitoids,
predators kill their prey quickly. The life cycle of predators usually
occurs away from their prey but in the same habitat.
